At Hinchables Pro, we designed and manufactured a giant inflatable tree over 9 metres tall, developed entirely to measure for integration into a large-scale scenic installation.
The project was created for TattooX and combined several challenges: very large dimensions, a complex organic shape and particularly tight production deadlines.
The result was a custom inflatable structure with strong visual impact, designed to become one of the main focal points of the space.
The challenge: creating a fully custom giant inflatable structure
The project required the production of a large-scale inflatable tree, more than 9 metres tall, with a geometry made up of a central trunk, visible roots and long branches.
One of the main challenges was ensuring that the structure maintained balanced proportions once inflated and integrated correctly with the rest of the scenography.
In addition to the size, it was essential to respect the original creative concept and adapt the production process to the real characteristics of the installation space.
Another key factor was time. The available period for development and manufacturing was extremely limited.
To meet the schedule, close coordination between the client, design and production teams was essential from the very beginning.
Development of the inflatable tree
Collaboration with the TattooX team was fundamental throughout the entire process.
They quickly provided plans, visual references and technical documentation, allowing us to move forward with the development without delays.
We would also like to highlight David’s support during the different stages of the project, particularly in coordinating and resolving the technical aspects required to keep the production on schedule.
Based on the documentation received, we developed a fully customised inflatable structure, focusing especially on:
- the overall proportions of the tree;
- the volume and shape of the trunk;
- the length and orientation of the branches;
- the development of the roots;
- the overall visual appearance once inflated;
- the integration of the structure into the scenography.
The objective was to create a very large structure capable of maintaining a recognisable silhouette and a strong visual presence from different viewing angles.
Inflation tests and checks before delivery
Before delivery, we carried out several inflation tests and general inspections of the structure.
For large-scale inflatable projects, this stage is especially important because it allows us to verify the behaviour of the structure at full size and check that the proportions, shapes and volumes correspond to the intended design.
The tests also allowed us to review the development of the branches, roots and trunk before the final installation.
The result: a giant inflatable tree with strong visual impact
The final result was a giant inflatable tree over 9 metres tall, manufactured completely to measure and integrated into a large-scale scenographic installation.
Thanks to its height, volume and shape, the structure became one of the most distinctive visual elements of the space.
Its scale gave the inflatable a strong presence both from inside and outside the installation, reinforcing the overall impact of the scenography.
